I can find almost nothing out about these old Vantage Strat copies. The guitar stays in tune fine and sounds really good - has an HSS pickup configuration that may be original or not. Tuners and electronics are no great shakes but I plan to upgrade them. The neck feels Stratty but has a black-painted headstock with the "vintage" Vantage logo. It has a Strat body, very closely copied with sunburst finish.
It appears to be a late 70s/ early 80s Vantage, which would place it in the realm of instruments made in the semi-legendary Matsumoku factory in Japan. Just for fun but hopefully to get a playable (or maybe resellable) guitar. I came across a Vantage Strat copy in a pawn shop going for $119 that I'm thinking of picking up as a restoration/ refurbishment project.
